Everytime I go to try to login and verify myself through the authentication app, it directs me to to verify myself through the authentication app lol.

I can’t do that because I’m not fully logged in so have no clue on what to do….

    Dear @Nate Hentosh,

I understand that you’re trying to sign in, and the sign-in page asks you to verify using the Microsoft Authenticator app. But you can’t approve the request because the Authenticator app isn’t accessible/fully set up for your account, so the sign-in process keeps sending you back to the same step.

To better assistance, could you please provide following information:

    • Are you signing into a work/school account (company or university) or a personal Microsoft account?
    • Do you still have the phone/device that previously received Authenticator prompts for this account?
    • On the “Verify your identity” screen, when you select “Use a verification code”, what options do you see (SMS / email / Authenticator code only / phone call / other)?
    • When you open Microsoft Authenticator, do you see this account listed in the app?

In the meantime, I recommend as below:

    1/ Try another sign-in method

On that screen, select Use a verification code

If you see SMS or email, use that to complete sign-in.

After you sign in, update your security methods right away at: https://aka.ms/mfasetup (this is the Security Info setup/management entry point used by many organizations)

2/ If you do not set up SMS or email method:

In this case, I recommend asking your IT admin to reset your MFA methods so you can register Authenticator again. Microsoft Entra allows admins to require a user to re-register MFA.

For step-by-step details, refer to the official Microsoft documentation: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
