A product key was purchased, and the first 5 numbers came off when it was scratched leaving only 20 digits of 25.

    Hi, good day!

Please try to check your purchase records, sometimes the product key is in your order confirmation email, depending on where you bought it.

If you bought a boxed key and the scratch-off ruined it, the store where you purchased it should be your first stop. Retailers are usually supposed to handle defective keycards. If they can’t help, then I recommend contacting Microsoft directly. Have proof of purchase ready (receipt, photos of the damaged card, order ID). They may be able to verify and replace it.
