You can create a bootable Windows 11 USB any time you need to.

You will need an empty USB flash drive (minimum 8GB), do not create the USB on a drive that contains files, because at the start of the process, the USB will be automatically formatted.

Use the Windows 11 installation media tools to recreate a bootable USB; the product key that was purchased will still be valid and is not tied to a specific download.

1. On a working Windows PC, go to the Microsoft software download website for Windows 11: Download Windows 11.
2. Under Create Windows 11 Installation Media, select Download Now to get MediaCreationTool.exe.
3. Run MediaCreationTool.exe and accept the license terms.
4. When prompted, choose Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC.
5. Select the language, edition (Windows 11 – the same edition that matches the Pro license), and architecture as needed.
6. Choose USB flash drive, insert a USB drive (at least 8 GB, any data on it will be erased), and select it.
7. Let the tool download Windows 11 and create the bootable USB automatically.

After the USB is created, boot the target PC from this USB to install or reinstall Windows 11 Pro. During or after installation, Windows will activate using the purchased license (product key or digital license) as long as the edition matches.
