For a Teams admin account that suddenly shows “This username may be incorrect” even though it has been used for years, there are two main possibilities based on the provided information:

    1. The Microsoft account itself is not being recognized
      • Use the Microsoft account recovery flow to confirm whether the account still exists and to reset the password if needed:
        1. Go to Recover your account: https://account.live.com/password/reset
        2. Enter the full sign-in ID (for example, ******@vviceschool.onmicrosoft.com) or any alias/phone number associated with it.
        3. Follow the steps to receive and enter the security code, then set a new password.
      • While doing this, carefully check:
        • The domain spelling (for example, .onmicrosoft.com, not a typo like .onmicorsoft.com).
        • The local part of the name (for example, rachel vs rachael).
      • If the email is not recognized, try any other alias or phone number that might be linked to the same account.
    2. The work/school tenant or account is controlled by an education organization
      • Because this is a school (vviceschool.onmicrosoft.com) and a Teams admin ID, the account is likely a work or school account in a Microsoft 365 Education tenant.
      • If the sign-in page says the username cannot be found, the account may have been changed, disabled, or removed by the organization’s Microsoft 365 administrator.
      • In that case, contact the organization’s admin or IT support so they can:
        • Confirm whether the account still exists in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
        • Reset the password or re-enable the account if it was disabled.
      • For schools, the documented guidance is to contact the school’s technical support team (often linked from the school’s main website) or whoever originally provided the account details.

If, after using the recovery page, the message “We couldn’t find an account with that username” still appears and there is no alternative alias or phone number that works, support must be contacted directly and informed that the username has stopped working.

    Dear @Deep Khatwani,

Based on the information you provided, it appears that you are currently unable to sign in to the Admin Portal using the account saved in your browser, even though this account has been working for the past five years until now.

In this situation, please try signing in using an InPrivate window in Microsoft Edge or an Incognito window in Google Chrome, then access the Office portal (https://office.com) to check whether you can log in successfully. You may also try accessing the account using a mobile browser.

If you experience the same error across all these methods, you can contact Microsoft Support through the regional customer service hotline found here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

Please feel free to let me know if there are any updates or if you need further assistance.
