No Call Option on Teams

If you are using a personal Microsoft account, you will not see the Call option.

This call option is for those on business license AND have the phone/calling plan add on licenses.

In Teams Free, phone calling features (dial pad, calling phone numbers, full Calls app) are not available. Only internal Teams features such as chat, meetings, and basic audio/video calls from chats are supported.

Because Teams Free does not support phone calling options, there is no separate Calls app or phone call option like in Teams Business with Teams Phone licensing. To place a call in Teams Free, start from a chat instead:

1. Go to Chat.
2. Select an existing chat or New chat and add the person.
3. Use Video call or Audio call at the top of the chat to call them over Teams.

To get full calling capabilities (dial pad, external phone numbers, etc.), an organization must use a paid Teams Business plan with the appropriate Teams Phone license.
