The Data Types option in Excel is only available in the subscription based version of Office or the online version of Excel, open Excel, then go to File - Account, what version of Office is indicated as installed on your PC.

In Excel for Microsoft 365, the Data Types commands (such as Stocks, Geography, and other linked data types) appear on the Data tab only when the requirements for linked data types are met. If the Data Types group is missing, use these checks:

    1. Confirm Microsoft 365 subscription and sign-in
Linked data types are available only to Microsoft 365 subscribers. Make sure Excel is activated with a Microsoft 365 account and that the user is signed in with that account.
    2. Update Excel to the latest version
Go to File > Account and install the latest updates. Linked data types require a recent build of Excel for Microsoft 365.
    3. Check feature availability and requirements
Linked data types depend on online services (for example, Bing) and are not supported in older perpetual versions of Office. If using an older or non‑subscription version, the Data Types group will not appear.
    4. Try Excel for the web
If the desktop app does not show Data Types even after updating and signing in, open the workbook in Excel for the web with the same Microsoft 365 account. Linked data types are supported there and can sometimes be accessed even when the desktop client is limited.

Once linked data types are available, Excel will show the Data Types gallery on the Data tab and allow converting cell values to data types and using the Data Selector.
