For Outlook.com and Outlook on the web, events are not deleted when they stop appearing in some calendar views. What is shown can be limited by sync and display ranges, especially when using Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 or mobile apps.
On Windows 10 Mail and Calendar and on mobile devices, only a limited date range is synchronized locally:
- On a PC using Mail and Calendar for Windows 10:
- Outlook.com / Microsoft 365 / Exchange accounts: events from the past 3 months are shown; all future events are shown.
- Google and iCloud: events from the past 3 months and up to 6 months in the future are shown.
- On a mobile device:
- Outlook.com / Microsoft 365 / Exchange accounts: events from the past 2 weeks are shown; all future events are shown.
- Google and iCloud: events from the past 2 weeks and up to 6 months in the future are shown.
Recurring events can appear outside these ranges only if at least one occurrence falls inside the visible window. If older or far-future events (including yearly recurring ones) seem to be missing in an app, they can still be viewed by signing in to Outlook.com or Outlook on the web in a browser, or by using another app that does not enforce the same sync limits.
If events from 2023–2026 and yearly recurring events are not visible in a specific client, check them directly in Outlook.com in a web browser. If they appear there, the issue is with the local app’s sync range or view, not with the data itself.
