With Collections going away from Edge, will Microsoft be adding the ability to save tab groups to Favorites, like you (very usefully) could with Collections?

The option to move your Collections to Favorites is temporary and mainly there to help users transition before the feature is removed in a future update. Tab Groups, on the other hand, isn’t going away anytime soon, so there likely won’t be a similarly convenient option like what Collections have right now.
That said, you can still save your tab groups to Favorites pretty easily. Just open your tab groups from icon in the Favorites bar, right-click and select Open in new window. Then press Ctrl + Shift + D in that window to save all the tabs to your Favorites at once.
The provided information does not indicate that Microsoft is adding a feature to save tab groups directly to Favorites in Microsoft Edge.
