Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams categories

I understand that Teams crashes immediately when you open it. Then you can’t get into the app at all.
To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:
What device are you using: Windows or macOS?
Does Teams crash before sign-in, during sign-in, or after the window appears?
Do you see any message like “Something went wrong”, an error code, or does it just close silently?
Are other users in your organization affected, or only you?
Can you sign in to Teams on the web successfully (browser)?
In the meantime, please try some steps below:
1/ Please try Teams on the web to see whether the issue persists
2/ Clear Teams cache
Clearing the cache on your device may help. After you clear the cache, please restart Teams.
For Windows:
- Type settings in the search box, and then select the Settings app from the results.
- Select Apps > Installed apps, and then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
- Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options.
- In the Reset section, select Reset.
- Restart Teams.

3/ If Teams still crashes: Fully uninstall Teams and reinstall
If cache/reset doesn’t help, the next best step is a clean uninstall and reinstall.
For Windows:
- Quit Teams (right‑click Teams icon > Close/Quit).
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Type Microsoft Teams in the search box >Select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Uninstall.
- Restart the PC, then reinstall Teams using your organization’s standard method (Store/Company Portal/installer).
macOS
- Force quit Teams (Option + right‑click Teams in dock > Force Quit).
- Open Applications, move Microsoft Teams to Trash, then reinstall using your organization’s standard method
