In Teams I have a loop workbook with several components - I need to share the components with the team but via email rather than Teams

    Dear @Lucie Hyett,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, Loop components can be shared from Microsoft Teams to Outlook by copying the component link and pasting it into an email. When pasted correctly, the component will remain live and editable across both apps. However, in this situation you cannot see the component link. For better understanding,

Could you please share the screenshot of the issue?

Is this issue affecting all components or only specific ones?

Are other users in the same tenant able to see the “Copy component” option?

In the meantime, here are some information you can refer to:

If the “Copy component” or “Copy link” option is not visible, this is typically due to one of the following:

    • You are selecting a Loop page or workspace instead of an individual component
    • The option only appears when hovering over the top‑right corner of a specific component
    • Your Teams/Outlook client or tenant settings may not fully support Loop components

    As a workaround, you can:

    • Create a new Loop component directly in Outlook (Message > Loop Components), or
    • Open the component in the Loop web app and copy the link from there.

I hope the information above helps address your question. If not, please provide additional details based on the questions above.

To share Loop components from Teams via email in Outlook, use the Loop component’s link and insert it into an Outlook message so the content stays live and collaborative.

    1. In Teams, open the Loop page/workspace that contains the component.
    2. In the upper-right corner of the specific Loop component that needs to be shared, select the Copy link (or Copy component/link) icon.
    3. Open Outlook (classic, new Outlook, or Outlook on the web) and start a new email.
    4. Paste the link into the message body using Ctrl+V or the right‑click menu.
      • By default, pasting the Loop link displays the actual Loop content in the email (unless pasting into a table, list, header, or footer).
    5. Send the email. Recipients can edit the Loop component directly from the email, and all changes stay in sync with the original Loop page in Teams.

If the component is already in an Outlook item and needs to be reused in another email:

    1. In the Outlook item containing the Loop component, select the Copy link icon in the upper-right corner of the component.
    2. Paste the link into another Outlook email body (or a Teams chat) with Ctrl+V.
    3. Send the email so recipients can collaborate on the same component.

Recipients can then edit the component inline in Outlook:

    1. In Outlook, open the email containing the Loop component.
    2. Click inside the Loop component where content should be added or edited.
    3. Type to edit, and optionally use / to insert items like @mentions or dates.
