Hi,

I am not able to login Azure Portal because I haven't login for 2 years. Is there any way I can recover.

Thank you

Can I use the same email address or do I have to use different email address to create a new microsoft account ?

If sign-in to Azure fails because the underlying Microsoft account or tenant has been inactive for a long period, recovery depends on how long it has been inactive and which account type is used.

For a personal Microsoft account (used to sign in to Azure):

    • If the Microsoft account has not been used for more than two years, it may have been automatically deleted and can no longer be reopened or used to sign in.
    • If the account was manually closed and the 30‑ or 60‑day grace period has passed, it also cannot be reopened.

In both cases above, the account and associated access (including Azure) cannot be recovered; a new Microsoft account and, if needed, a new Azure tenant must be created.

If the issue is specifically an Azure tenant blocked for inactivity (for example, error AADSTS5000225):

    • Administrators can request reactivation only within 20 days of the tenant entering the inactive/blocked state. After 20 days, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
    • If it has been about two years since last sign-in, the tenant is very likely beyond this 20‑day window and therefore not recoverable.

If sign-in problems are instead due to password issues (and the account itself is still valid):

Given the two‑year gap mentioned, the most probable outcome is that the original account/tenant cannot be restored and a new account/tenant must be created for Azure access.
