Hello,

I need help on my subsriptions. It seems that I have subscribed to the Business Basic but I am already subscribed to the Microsoft 365 Personal. Kindly advise how can I cancel my subscription to the Business Basic subscription?

I don't think I am still using both subscriptions but I am still charged annually with the Business Basic subscription.

Thank you

    Hi @Rod Franco,

To help you cancel the Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription, I need to confirm a couple of details first.

Do you remember the account used to sign up for Business Basic?

Business subscriptions are typically created using a Global Admin account, often with a domain ending in @<tenant>.onmicrosoft.com (or a custom business domain).

If you do remember the admin account, please sign in with that account at https://admin.microsoft.com, then follow these steps:

    • Go to Billing
    • Select Your products
    • Locate Microsoft 365 Business Basic and click on its name
    • Choose Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing

    • Follow the prompt to finish the process

You can also refer to this instruction: Cancel your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center

If you don’t remember the admin account

That’s completely understandable and happens quite often.

    • In this case, please check whether you have an invoice number, order ID, or billing email related to the Business Basic charge. If available, kindly share the invoice number via private message.
    • Please reset this page and you'll see a pop-up on top of your thread. You can click on View Messages to enter our private channel.

I can help you review the billing details and check if there’s enough information to identify the correct tenant and admin account.

Looking forward to your reply so we can get this sorted out for you together.

To stop being charged for the extra Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription, cancel that subscription in the account it was purchased under. Canceling the subscription will not delete the Microsoft account itself, so the Personal subscription can remain active.

Follow these steps for the Business Basic subscription:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account services page: https://account.live.com
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that is paying for the Business Basic subscription.
    3. Go to Services or Subscriptions.
    4. Find the Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription.
    5. Select Manage.
    6. Choose Cancel or turn off recurring billing so it will not renew again.

If the Business Basic subscription was purchased through a third party (for example, Apple App Store, Google Play, or a retail partner), cancellation and refunds must be handled through that third party’s billing support, not through Microsoft.

If there are problems signing in or identifying which account is being billed, or if a refund is needed for recent unwanted renewals, contact Microsoft Support directly via the billing/support channels so they can review the subscription and charges.
