Exams are not certifications. The AZ-400 exam is only part of the requirements for the Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification. You must also hold an active Azure Administrator or Azure Developer Associate certification.

    Hi,

I have two Microsoft certification profiles under different email addresses and would like to request a merge.

    Primary account to keep:

    Secondary account to merge:

My AZ-104 certification is in one account, while my AZ-400 exam is in the other. Because of this, my Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification is not appearing.

Please help merge these profiles so my certifications are consolidated under one account.

    Thank you.

AZ-400 is an expert-level exam that grants the Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification only when the prerequisite certifications are also active. Passing the AZ-400 exam alone will show as “Exam Passed” but will not display a certification until all requirements are met.

For DevOps Engineer Expert, the requirements include:

    • Passing AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions, and
    • Having one of the required prerequisite certifications active (for example, Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate), as described on the DevOps Engineer certification page.

If the prerequisite certification is missing or inactive, only the exam result appears and no certificate is issued yet.

    To proceed:

    1. Review the DevOps Engineer Expert certification requirements to confirm that all prerequisite certifications are completed and active.
    2. If all requirements are met and the certification still does not appear, use Microsoft Credentials Support to open a support request so the certification team can investigate and correct the profile.
