I filed all the paperwork required for Surface Pro 6 Bulging Battery. I was sent an email back with the agents name Angelia N, I replied back to her however no reply back. How can a person speak with an agent at Microsoft it is imposiable? I followed her instructions in the email but nothing worked and lead me nowhere for the answers to my questions. Where is the Customer Service Support, at Microsoft? I want to get a new Surface but wondering how that support will be when you have service likes this. It really makes me wonder

    Hello, Patricia Funkhouser

I recommend contacting a Microsoft support specialist in a live chat. To do this, log in to your MS account on the page https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com

In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Surface" and "Surface Pro" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page, enter (if requested) your (the one that works) email address and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond and describe your problem.

For a visibly bulging Surface battery, stop using the device and handle it carefully. Do not put pressure on it or risk puncturing the battery cell. Microsoft recommends completing the Surface replacement request form to work with a Surface Support Advocate.

To request service for the Surface online:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft account | Devices.
    2. Select the Surface device, then select Next.
    3. If the device is not listed, select Register device.
    4. Follow the prompts to complete the service order.

To check the status of an existing repair or service order:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.
    2. Review the repair status there.
    3. Status updates should also be sent to the email address used when the service order was created.

If direct help from a support person is still needed, use Microsoft support contact options:

If in-person help is preferred, Microsoft also offers service centers in some countries and regions. Those centers can provide hardware inspection, troubleshooting, and in some locations repair or help sending the device to Microsoft. Authorized Service Providers may charge additional fees, including for some in-warranty repairs.
