Hi,

I would like to know how to add new members to already existing Teams group. Also can I add that person in all groups by few clicks.

How do you add a app called "Streams" on my outlook or teams for easy access.

    Dear Priyanka,

Good day, and thank you for reaching out to the Q&A Forum. I understand that you would like to add a new employee to existing Microsoft Teams groups, and you are also looking for a way to add the Streams app for easier access. Please try the following steps to see if it helps:

1.Adding a new member to an existing Team

    • Open Microsoft Teams
    • Locate the required team
    • Click More option next to its name
    • Select Add member
    • Enter the employee name or email address
    • Choose Add or Send request

Adding the employee to the Team gives them access to its standard channels. However, private and shared channels have separate membership rules, so the employee may need to be added to those channels individually. Standard channels inherit membership from the parent Team, while private and shared channels restrict access to specifically added members.

2.Adding one person to multiple Teams at once

Unfortunately, Microsoft Teams does not provide a simple "add this person to every existing Team" button in the user interface. The available approaches are:

A small number of Teams: Add the person manually to each Team

Many teams: Ask your Teams adminstrator to write a PowerShell script that loops through the list of target teams and adds the user to each one

Ongoing departmental membership: Consider using centrally managed group organizational policies permit. This lets membershipes auto-update based on user attributes (department, job title,...)

Before adding someone to every Team, please review whether they genuinely need access. Team membership can expose conversations, files, recordings, and SharePoint content belonging to each Team. Each Team is connected to a SharePoint site that stores its files, so broad membership also grants access to those associated resources.

3.Adding the Streams app for easier access in Teams

In Microsoft Teams, click Apps on the left navigation bar.

Search for Streams in the search box.

If it appears, select it and click Add. Once added, right-click the Streams icon on the left navigation bar and select Pin, so it stays visible for quick access.

Please note that your administrator may restrict which apps you can install in Teams, so if the Stream app does not appear or cannot be added, please reach out to your IT administrator to enable it for your account. If you don't know who your IT administrator is, please refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments so I can continue to support you. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward to your reply.
