I am a member of a Microsoft Entra group that has no listed owner. The group is used to grant permissions in an Azure DevOps project.

I need to add a managed identity to the group so it can use the required Azure DevOps permission, but I cannot manage membership, and Azure DevOps cannot manage membership because this is an Entra-backed group.

Who can assign a new owner or add the managed identity when an Entra group has no owner?

Azure DevOps

Hi @Yijing Yan

As discussed on team's call.

To add members to the Microsoft Entra Group. You will need to reach out to the Global Administrator of your tenant.

Please reach out to your manager or correct point of contact to raise access internally so you can add a specific member to the group.

Find wiki or some On-boarding document for your project so you can be part of that group.
