Since Windows 11 sometimes detects the mic but shows it as a problematic device, use this order:
- Check microphone permissions.
- Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Turn on Microphone access.
- Turn on Let apps access your microphone.
- Turn on Let desktop apps access your microphone.
- Then test the app that should use the DJI Mic Mini.
- Verify the input device and test input level.
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Input, select the microphone if it appears.
- Open its properties, select Start test, speak normally, then Stop test and Play.
- If needed, raise the Input volume.
- Update audio drivers through Windows Update first.
- Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install any available audio-related updates and restart.
- Update the audio device from Device Manager.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the audio device and select Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart after the update.
- If Windows still shows the device as broken or not recognized, reinstall the audio driver.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device.
- If shown, select Attempt to remove the driver for this device or Delete the driver software for this device.
- Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the driver automatically.
- If Windows says the best driver is already installed but the mic still fails, install the latest audio driver from the PC manufacturer.
- Go to the computer manufacturer’s support site.
- Find the exact PC model.
- Download and install the latest Windows 11 audio driver.
- Restart the PC.
- If the problem started after a Windows update, roll back the audio driver.
- In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the sound device > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver.
Important: uninstalling drivers and rolling back drivers can affect audio temporarily until Windows reinstalls or restores the driver.
The context supports Windows audio-driver troubleshooting, permissions, Windows Update, reinstall, manufacturer drivers, and rollback. It does not provide a DJI-specific driver, so the supported path is to fix Windows detection and the PC audio stack rather than look for a separate DJI driver.
