IDK why I keep using Azure and not switch to AWS because this is stupid. Like seriously what the fuck.

So I want to create a quota increase request but the quota request increase button is disabled.

Okay so lets try to create a request ticket but it will not let me fill out the details beyond selecting the region and compute. Trying to select next results in a form validation error.

Okay so try to create a support ticket for the inability to create a request tick. THERE IS NO WAY TO DO THAT without paying. What the fuck.

Fortunately I know a guy at AWS.

So my support question is, should I switch to AWS?

    Hello @Michael McMinn

Don't switch to AWS just because of one quota/support experience.

Quick fix for your actual blocker:

Button disabled = you don't have Owner/Contributor + Quota Request Operator role, or subscription is disabled/locked due to billing. Go to:

Portal > Quotas > Search "Compute" > Create support request Use direct link: aka.ms/quotaincrease or Portal > Help + Support > Create support request > Service and subscription limits (quotas) > Quota type: Compute-VM.

If that form still validation-errors, it's 99% because your subscription is in Disabled/Warning state from the billing issue you mentioned earlier - quota requests are blocked on disabled subscriptions.
