Which option is easier to implement?

I’ve tried the option with the address book, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Perhaps I’ve made a mistake (?)
How does the other option work?

I have a Canon MF750 and am trying to get it to send my scans by email. Result: Error #806
Same result when trying to save the scan to a folder on my file server / Hard drive
And, unsurprisingly :-(, the same happens when trying to save the scan to my computer.
Can anyone give me some advice?

Post was: Hi, Sorry for the delay. SMB refers to the file-sharing system; you can configure this directly on the printer—under the address book tab—to scan and save the digital file to a network folder. Or Do you want to configure the printer directly using Canon…But Link to the answer failed so i don't if this above ist the complete post.
Tried this but didn't work: "SMB refers to the file-sharing system; you can configure this directly on the printer—under the address book tab—to scan and save the digital file to a network folder"
Hi, as I don’t know what an SMB folder is, I can’t give a clear answer to the question.
I assume this must be done via the Canon app. My Device Manager tells me that the MS IPP Class Driver is installed. However, the Canon manual says something different(?)
Unfortunately, that’s as far as I can go, and I’m completely lost.

Hi,
Since you are using it in network mode, do you want to activate the scanner via the Canon app or set up an SMB folder to send scans?
Thanks.
