Shopping ads and PMAX show "No targeted products".

I created a PLA and a Pmax campaign, and both campaigns are showing a "No targeted products" message, preventing ads from displaying. I checked the Merchant Center; this feed was imported from GMC, and all products are active—everything seems normal. I've confirmed that the products I selected are “Active” in the Merchant Center. I don't know why I'm getting this message, and what should I do to get the products displayed correctly?

    Hello Kate,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Learn Q&A Platform!

I understand that you've been struggling to get performance for your Performance Max shopping campaigns. I hope the response and resources provided here can be of some help.

When a Performance Max merchant campaign shows "No targeted products", it means that despite having an active feed in Microsoft Merchant Center, none of the products are currently eligible to serve in that campaign. This status stops product ads from delivering and can occur even if all products appear active in Merchant Center. Common causes include:

    • Store status issues: The associated Merchant Center store is in draft or disapproved status, or is inactive.
    • Feed status issues: The feed isn’t enabled for publishing, or its country/region of sale doesn’t match the campaign’s settings.
    • Product status issues: Products are disapproved, out of stock, expired, or otherwise ineligible (even if they appear “active” in Merchant Center).
    • Campaign/product filter mismatches: Campaign-level product filters or product group filters exclude all products.
    • Import mismatches: Imported products from Google Merchant Center may not match the campaign’s market, destination, or domain.
    • Processing delay: Newly uploaded or updated feeds can take up to ~72 hours to process before products become eligible.

Here are some steps you that may help with resolve things and get products to display:

    1. Verify store status
      • In Merchant Center, ensure the store is Approved and not in draft or disapproved status.
      • Complete any pending setup steps if in draft mode.
    2. Check feed settings
      • Confirm the feed is enabled for publishing.
      • Ensure the feed’s country/region and language match the campaign’s country/region of sale.
      • For multi-market feeds, verify at least one feed country matches the campaign’s target.
    3. Review product status
      • In Merchant Center, go to Summary > Product issues and download the report.
      • Fix any disapprovals, out-of-stock flags, or expired offers.
      • Ensure product attributes (price, availability, URLs, images) meet requirements.
    4. Inspect campaign-level filters
      • In the campaign’s Settings > Products, check if “Filtered products” is enabled and adjust to include the desired products.
      • Remove overly restrictive filters.
    5. Check product group filters
      • In Campaigns > Product groups, ensure the product group includes products (move items from left to right column if needed).
      • Remove or adjust filters that exclude all products.
    6. Allow for processing time
      • If you’ve just imported or updated the feed, wait up to 72 hours for processing.
    7. Re-import from GMC if needed
      • If the feed was imported from Google Merchant Center, confirm that the imported offers match the campaign’s market and destination, and that the store domain matches.
