Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams categories
Hi @Clark Nellie,
Teams Premium is not a direct upgrade or replacement for Teams Essentials. It is an add-on license, so you need to keep your Teams Essentials subscription and assign the Teams Premium license to the same user. Both licenses are required for Teams and the Premium features to work correctly.
Since you have already purchased Teams Premium for one month, please sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Billing > Licenses. Select Microsoft Teams Premium and assign it to the user who already has the Teams Essentials license.
You can also do this under Users > Active users > select the user > Licenses and apps. The change may take up to 24 hours to become effective.
If you want to change your Teams Premium subscription from a monthly term to an annual commitment, go to Billing > Your products > select Microsoft Teams Premium.
On the subscription details page, depending on your billing account type, please follow the steps in this guide to check whether an annual term is available. Please note that any change may only take effect at the next renewal date.
If the option is unavailable, contact Microsoft Billing Support or the reseller/CSP from whom you purchased the subscription.
