Install Finance Agent on a Dataverse environment for Financial Reconciliation and Variance Analysis (Preview)

This article explains how to install Finance Agent in a Dataverse environment. You need a Dataverse environment to support all end-to-end capabilities of Finance Agent. Deploy Finance Agent from Microsoft Copilot Studio, as described in Install Finance Agent from Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Prerequisites

• You must install Finance Agent in a new or existing Dataverse environment. To create a new Dataverse environment, see Create and Manage Dataverse Environments.

Install Finance Agent from Microsoft Copilot Studio

To install the Finance agent from Copilot Studio, follow these steps:

1. Go to Microsoft Copilot Studio.
2. In the upper right corner, select the Dataverse environment where you configured your subscription billing.
3. From the featured list of agents in the Install a managed agent section, select Finance in M365 Copilot.
4. Select Install.
5. Complete the set up connections step.
6. Select Next to start the installation.
7. When the confirmation modal is displayed, select Agents from the left navigation menu and confirm that the Financial Reconciliation agent appears in the list of installed agents.

Add users

Before users can create or apply templates and create agents, complete the following configuration steps.

1. In the Power Platform Admin Center, select Environments from the left navigation pane.
2. Select the target Dataverse environment.
3. In the access section, under Users, select See All.
4. On the ribbon, select Add User to add all required Finance Agent users.

Assign security roles

1. Configure your security roles. For more information, see Assign a security role to a user.
2. To enable users to create and view their own templates and agents, assign the following security roles: Basic User, Finance Agent - Finance Professional.
3. To grant users access to all agents and templates in an environment, assign the following role: Finance Agent - Administrator.
