Summary

In this module, you learned about social determinants of health (SDOH) and how they can contribute to an individual's or a population group's health outcomes. The SDOH datasets – transformations capability allows you to ingest SDOH datasets into a standardized healthcare data model in Microsoft Fabric. This capability can unlock many analytical capabilities for your organization to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a patient's health profile.

As part of the exercises in this module, you deployed the capability to your Fabric workspace and ran the pipeline to ingest a prepared SDOH public dataset. You learned how to configure an SDOH dataset to make it compatible with the capability's ingestion process. Additionally, you used the SDOH data model in the silver lakehouse to query with other healthcare data to use the social determinants and analyze your patients.
