Azure Admin Unit not available for retention policy scope

I'm trying to create a retention policy in Microsoft Purview. I created an Admin Unit in Azure and added a security group to the admin unit several hours ago. This is only the second admin unit in our organization. When I attempt to add the admin unit to the Policy Scope for the new Retention Policy, the new admin unit doesn't appear as an option. The old unit does appear.

What am I missing?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Install, redeem, activate | For business | Windows
Microsoft Security | Microsoft Purview

Probably some replication delay, give it some time. As the compliance portal still uses the Exchange/SCC backend, you might check whether the new AU shows in the output of Get-AdministrativeUnit.

ok, it sounds dumb, but opening an incognito browser window did it for me. I realized this when it still wasnt showing 24 hours later, but a teammate of mine could see it. Seems like something was getting cached by the browser and it was not showing when trying to add/remove admin units from the policy.

Use F12 browser developer tools, go into Application / Storage / Local storage / https://purview.microsoft.com and remove the localConfig-userAdminUnitsCached element.
