Using a physical green screen
Is there a way to disable the Teams default background settings and select that I am using a real green screen? I am using a physical green screen for interactive lessons with my students. The Teams virtual background settings do not look as clear as Zoom, where I can select that I am using a real green screen. In Teams, I have a terrible halo around my body and the objects I hold up disappear because Teams thinks they are part of the background. I do not have this problem in Zoom, but I need to use Teams for meetings with students.

2021-07-17T19:21:06+00:00 Chelsea, there is a way. With free open-source software OBS Studio (https://obsproject.com/ ) you get a 'Virtual Camera' so you can enable the green screen (chroma filter) in OBS Studio, start the OBS Virtual Camera from its docked-in control panel, then consume the Virtual Camera in Microsoft Teams.
This is the OBS Studio setup, it has the Video Capture Device set to the webcam, with a chroma filter on green. I added also a sample background photo from ski slopes in Whistler. In the control area on the bottom right corner you can see the Virtual Camera is started. If the default chroma filter do not give you a perfect result, you can fine tune the settings in the filter.

There are duplicate requests for green screen support, the leading one is this above.

At this time a true green screen feature is not available. You can vote for and comment o this request at uservoice-

Thanks for sharing your experience - I wondered how well it would work with teams. Replacing my messy office with a picture is a poor experience and I thought about getting a green screen. I'll have to work harder at cleaning it up. :)
