- Sign in to the account that is sharing the subscription.
- Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/family/home
- You will usually see the same person listed twice — one active member and one pending invitation.
- Remove the existing/active family member entry (do not remove the pending invitation).
- Ask the recipient to accept the pending invitation using their own account.
- The invitation should now work correctly, and the user will reappear in the family group.
- After this, you may need to:
- Reconfigure Family Sharing settings in Windows.
- Sign out and sign back in to Microsoft desktop apps on the added user’s device.
