For a Microsoft 365 subscription bought on an Apple device, the refund path depends on where it was purchased:

    1. If the subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store (in-app on iOS):
Refunds and cancellations must be handled by Apple, not Microsoft. Microsoft cannot cancel or refund subscriptions purchased through Apple.
      • Request a refund directly from Apple using their refund process: see Apple support at Apple support.
    2. If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft (not via Apple):
      a. First cancel the subscription from the Microsoft account:
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that purchased the subscription.
      • Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
      • Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the on-screen steps.
      b. Check refund eligibility:
      • Not all cancellations result in a refund. Eligibility depends on country/region and timing.
      • In Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Turkey, cancelling may entitle to a prorated refund.
      • For full details and to check eligibility, use the guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
    3. If the subscription was purchased from another third party (e.g., Amazon, Best Buy, Google Play):
      • Microsoft cannot cancel or refund these subscriptions. Contact the retailer’s customer support directly to cancel and request a refund.

If neither Apple nor Microsoft shows a refund option, verify exactly where the subscription was billed from (Apple purchase history vs. Microsoft account billing) and then use that provider’s support and refund process.
