Dear @Sharwin IT Helpdesk, Welcome to Q&A forum.

I understand you're seeing your Microsoft Teams status stuck on “Available, Out of Office” even after disabling automatic replies in both Outlook and Teams, resetting your status, and reinstalling the app. I know how frustrating that can be, especially when you're trying to show you're back and available.

This issue typically happens when Teams continues to receive an “Out of Office” signal from your Outlook or Exchange calendar. Even if you manually set your status to “Available,” Teams will still display “Out of Office” if it detects:

    • An automatic reply is still active in Outlook or Teams
    • A calendar event (like a meeting or all-day appointment) is marked as “Out of Office”
    • Cached data in Teams is preventing the status from updating

To help us better understand and resolve the issue, could you please confirm the following:

Are you using Outlook on the web, desktop app, or both?

Is your mailbox hosted in Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, or a hybrid environment?

Do you have any calendar events (past, current, or future) marked as “Out of Office”?

Are you signed into Teams on multiple devices (e.g., desktop, mobile, web)?

Have you recently returned from a scheduled Out of Office period or vacation?

Are you using any third-party calendar integrations or tools that might update your Outlook calendar?

Are other users in your organization experiencing similar issues?

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

1/ Review your Outlook calendar for any events marked “Out of Office” (they usually appear in purple). Delete them or change their status to “Free” or “Busy.”

2/ Manually clear the Teams cache, please follow the step from this article Clear the Teams client cache

3/ Fully sign out of Teams on all devices (desktop, mobile, web) and sign in back.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
