    Dear @Fort Henry,

That CAA50024 and “Multiple identities detected. Please sign out and try again.” message on Teams on the web is mostly caused by stale/competing sign-in cookies or tokens (for example: multiple Microsoft accounts cached in the browser, old sessions, or extensions interfering). Here are some steps for you to try:

    1> Use an InPrivate/Incognito window

    Close all Teams web tabs.

Open an InPrivate/Incognito window (for Edge/Chrome, Ctrl + Shift + N), go to Microsoft Teams and sign in with your work account there.

2> Clear browser cookies and cache

In Edge/Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete > select Clear now.

Then reopen the browser and sign in Teams again.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.

Error code CAA50024 indicates an issue with multiple identities or conflicting credentials during sign-in.

To resolve this for Microsoft Teams on the web with a work account:

    1. Fully sign out of all Microsoft 365/Teams sessions in the browser.
    2. Clear cached credentials for Microsoft sites in the browser:
      • Clear cookies and site data for Microsoft/Office/Teams-related URLs.
    3. Close all browser windows completely, then reopen the browser.
    4. Go directly to the Teams web client and sign in again using only the correct work account.
    5. If the issue persists, try another browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window to avoid cached identities.
    6. If still unable to sign in, contact the organization’s IT admin, as there may be an issue with the domain or Office 365 account configuration.

If the same sign-in problem appears in other Office apps or persists after these steps, follow the manual remediation guidance for Teams sign-in issues, including reinstalling the desktop client and removing the Teams app data folder if using the desktop app.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, collect the error details and ask IT to open a support request with Microsoft.
