Microsoft Teams presence status shows "Unknown" on both Desktop and Web (Cloud)

Issue: a users Microsoft Teams presence status remains "Unknown" on both the desktop app and the web (cloud) version. The issue persists despite troubleshooting. But on phone the status is available and green.

Current behavior: - Presence status remains "Unknown" - Unable to manually change presence reliably

  • Issue started today after a password reset and unblocked sign-in (O365)

Please advise on further troubleshooting steps or any known service issues that may cause presence status to remain "Unknown" across Teams clients.

    The issue has been resolved by removing E license and readding license.
