My microphone isn't working on Edge

I've checked all my permissions in the settings app as well as the Edge settings. Everything is as it should be. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the microphone driver. I've tried everything. My microphone works fine on the Teams, Zoom, Discord, Voice Recorder, etc. apps but the moment I try to use any of that through Edge, it stops working. I can't understand what the issue is or how to fix it.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Can I use the microphone on other websites? Can I use the microphone normally on other browsers?

When opening recording websites, please close all voice software (including background processes) to prevent some software from secretly using your microphone.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Please check the Edge preview version to see if everything is working properly.

Please open the Task Manager and terminate all running Edge processes. Then, press Win + R simultaneously and enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge

Delete the User Data folder, then reopen Edge to see if it functions normally again.

Please be aware that deleting this folder may result in the loss of your Microsoft Edge user data. This directory contains information such as your user profiles, extensions, bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, and more.

Although Edge data is typically backed up to the cloud—meaning that after deleting this folder and signing back into your Microsoft account, your data should generally synchronize back—we still recommend backing up your data beforehand as a precautionary measure.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Enter edge://settings/reset in the address bar.

Click "Restore settings to their defaults."

See if this resolves the issue.

    Hello,

Go to Edge Settings → Privacy → Site Permissions → Microphone. Delete the corresponding website, reopen the website, and then grant microphone permissions again.

You also need to check that when you enter ,in the Edge address bar,

    edge://settings/privacy/sitePermissions/allPermissions/microphone

you are ensuring that the correct microphone is selected.
