    Hi Emma,

    May I know your age?

You need to ask your parents to remove yourself from the Family, I am afraid there is no other way. However, If you are above the statutory age as per specified in your country, you can remove consent to monitor your activity.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

Family Safety controls on a child account cannot be removed or bypassed by the child. This is by design so that children cannot change their age or settings to get around restrictions such as blocked websites or apps like YouTube.

To watch YouTube, a parent or guardian who is an organizer in the Microsoft Family group must sign in and change the settings for the child account, for example by adjusting web and content filters or screen time limits at https://family.microsoft.com or in the Microsoft Family Safety app. If they choose not to change those settings, there is no supported way to remove Family Safety from the child account.

If the account is a child account based on its date of birth, the date of birth cannot be changed to convert it to an adult account just to remove restrictions. The account must actually reach the adult age (for example, 18 or the legal adult age in the region) before it can leave the family group and manage its own settings.
