I'm trying to leave Microsoft family group but i don't have access to the organizer account

Have you already attempted to recover the organizer's account using https://account.live.com/acsr form?

For security and privacy reasons, only the original family organizer account can manage or remove members from a Microsoft Family group, even if that organizer email is old or no longer actively used.

At this point, the only path forward is to try to regain access to the original organizer account:

If you remember the email address, use Microsoft’s account recovery form: https://account.live.com/acsr

If you no longer remember the email address, you can try searching the account: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/forgotten-your-microsoft-account-username-b2049472-3b8f-27d3-61c6-67a668453f4c Click on "Search" and follow the instructions provided.

If you’re able to recover the organizer account, you can then remove your account from the old family group (or change the settings) and add it to a new family if needed.

Leaving a Microsoft family group without access to the organizer account is not supported directly. Only an organizer can remove members, and only organizers see the Leave family group option.

Key points from the documented behavior:

1. To remove yourself from a family group
   • Sign in to your Microsoft Family Safety group at account.microsoft.com/family.
   • Click the menu ( … ) next to your name and select Leave family group.
   • Select Remove to confirm.
   • If Leave family group is not visible, the account is not an organizer, so it cannot remove itself.
2. To remove another member from a family group
   • Only organizers can remove family members.
   • An organizer must:
     1. Sign in at account.microsoft.com/family or https://family.microsoft.com with an organizer role.
     2. Click next to the person’s name and select Remove from family group.
     3. For child accounts, if Remove from family group is not shown, select Remove consent for this child’s account first, then go back and select Remove from family group.
3. Family group deletion
   • To delete a family group, an organizer must remove all other members first, then select Leave family group for their own account.
   • A family group without an organizer and at least one other member will be deleted automatically.

Because organizer permissions are required for all removal operations, the practical next step when there is no access to the organizer account is to recover or regain access to that organizer account (for example, via Microsoft account recovery) so it can perform the removal.

Note: Anyone leaving or being removed from a family group will lose access to shared products and services (such as a Microsoft 365 Family subscription and Family Safety features).
