To start with the conclusion, I can log in with my school account on the web, but I can't log in to Copolite or the installed apps.

Let me explain the process. I captured screenshots in order.

First, when I open an installed app like PowerPoint, it asks me to log in. So, I enter my school email and click OK, and the screen moves on. Then, I enter my password. For reference, I verified it again, and it is the correct password. However, even after entering the password and clicking OK, the exact same window pops up again, as shown in the fourth photo. If I just click OK again, the same window appears once more. After seeing the same window three times and clicking OK, I thought I was finally logging in, but as shown in the last photo, only a white screen appears, and I cannot log in at all. No error code or explanation appears. However, when I log in to Microsoft 365 Web, I can log in with the same ID and password. How on earth can I fix this?

Is it because I am using this account logged in on the desktop? As far as I know, it should be usable across multiple apps...

I really don't understand... :(

    Dear @박상희,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you’re unable to sign in to Copilot and locally installed Microsoft apps (such as PowerPoint) using your school account, even though the same account works successfully on Microsoft 365 Web. When you try to sign in through an installed desktop app, you’re repeatedly prompted to re‑enter your password. Even though you’ve confirmed the password is correct, the sign‑in window loops multiple times. After several attempts, the app displays only a blank white screen with no error message, and sign‑in never completes.

To understand the situation better and provide you with the most suitable support, could you confirm the following information:

    • Does the same looping behavior occur in other installed apps such as Word, Excel, or Outlook, or only in PowerPoint?
    • Did this account ever work on this device before, or is this the first time you’re trying to sign in on this computer?
    • Is this device school‑managed (for example, enrolled in Intune or joined to the school domain), or is it your personal computer?
    • Are other users at your school having similar sign‑in or looping issues?

Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!

If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance. Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing how things are going!

Thank you for your time and patience.
