2026-04-29T00:00:32.9333333+00:00

I own Gamepass Ultimate have for several months/years. for the past month i’ve tried to play black ops 7 on my pc (Main reason for buying gamepass) and it tells me i do not own bo7 i cannot play any game mode. this angers me very much because ive had several issues revolving around this. Im about to just cancel my membership and not use xbox app anymore. I’ve tried the troubleshooting, resetting and repairing, reinstalling, updating, and every single resolution i find online and nothing works. My license for black ops 7 will not register no matter what i do. it’s only black ops 7. Ive contacted microsoft support team several times in the past this is ridiculous i have to keep dealing with issues caused by xbox app.

Before we proceed further, may I have a photo of the error you see when launching BO7 to check for you? Please remember to remove all personal information before posting.

Additionally, may I know more details of what you have tried so far to make sure that I don't suggest you anything you've already tried?

Based on the provided information, only general Microsoft Store/Xbox app troubleshooting steps are available.

For a Game Pass entitlement not being recognized for a specific title (only Black Ops 7) on PC after already trying reset/repair/reinstall and general online fixes, the next supported actions from the available context are:

    1. Confirm the Microsoft account and device authorization
      • Make sure the Xbox app and Microsoft Store are both signed in with the same Microsoft account that has the active Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
      • Ensure the PC is correctly added/authorized for that account. Guidance for device authorization is referenced under “Your PC isn’t authorized to use Microsoft Store apps” in the Store troubleshooting article. It points to checking device association in the Microsoft account: see “Add a device to your Microsoft account”.
    2. Reset the Microsoft Store cache
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      • A blank command prompt opens, then closes after about 10 seconds, and Microsoft Store opens automatically.
      • Reopen the Xbox app and check if the entitlement for Black Ops 7 is now recognized.
    3. Check common reasons an app/game cannot be installed or used If the title still does not appear as owned/available under Game Pass on this PC, verify the conditions listed for Store visibility and entitlement issues:
      • The game might not be available in the current country or region.
      • Family settings or age restrictions might be hiding or blocking the title.
      • The game might be no longer available or temporarily removed.
      • The game might be incompatible with the device; Microsoft Store/Xbox app can hide or block the purchase/play button on incompatible devices.
      • The PC might need a restart after recent Windows updates before Store/Xbox entitlements work correctly.
      • The PC might still not be authorized for Store/Xbox apps under the current account.
    4. Ensure Gaming Services and Xbox app are healthy (for Game Pass PC titles) Game Pass PC titles rely on Gaming Services and the Xbox app. If there is a hidden issue with Gaming Services, entitlement and launch can fail for specific games.
      • Open PowerShell as administrator.
      • Run:
        • get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
      • In the same PowerShell window, run:
        • start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
      • Install Gaming Services from the page that opens, accepting the UAC prompt.
      • Then try Black Ops 7 again from the Xbox app.

If the problem persists only for this single title after these steps, and Game Pass works for other games, the remaining path from the provided material is to continue working with Xbox/Microsoft support, as entitlement and billing issues for a specific Game Pass title are handled directly by support.
