When is Microsoft going to have the New Outlook support basic formatting in a proper wayLike VERY SIMPLE stuff, like full support for text transformation (e.g., Upper- and lowercase), simple table formatting (e.g., alignment of elements in a table or nested tables with different alignments), etc.?It is really problematic to switch to the new Outlook and keep corporate brand and guidelines.

Could you please confirm which version of New Outlook you are currently using?
Are the formatting features you mentioned (such as text case transformation and table alignment) similar to those shown in the image below?
Do these formatting options appear in your Outlook interface?
- If so, are they available for use, or do they appear greyed out?
- If not, are they completely missing from the ribbon?
Finally, does this behavior affect only your account, or are other users in your organization experiencing the same issue?

Thanks for the answer, but it is related to css/html insertions.
I.e. Email signature injections, do not support css {text-decoration:uppercase}.
An if you make a centeret table (i.e. for email newsletters, a nested table inside will also be centred although wanting to have the content of the nested table left-aligned)

Based on your explanation, this behavior is by design and relates to current HTML/CSS limitations in the New Outlook (and Outlook on the web) rather than a configuration or tenant‑specific issue.

Microsoft has not published a roadmap or ETA for full CSS or advanced HTML support in New Outlook email composition or signature rendering.

At this time, these limitations are considered product design constraints, not a bug.

I completely agree this is a major challenge for organizations with strict brand and communication guidelines.

Since this is a product limitation by design, the best way to request this capability is to submit feedback directly to Microsoft so the product team can review and evaluate the suggestion. This is the most effective path forward, as Microsoft product teams actively monitor customer feedback, and many features and improvements are driven by these requests.
