I just renewed my old minecraft realm, and it took the money out of my card but the realm still doesn't work and it still says my realm is expired. What can I do so it will work?

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially after being charged and still seeing your Realm as expired. This issue is usually related to account sync or a short delay in processing.

    • Make sure you’re signed in to the correct Microsoft account that owns the Realm, as this is one of the most common causes.
    • Check your subscription status here: https://account.microsoft.com/services If it shows as active, try signing out and signing back in on your PC to refresh the sync.
    • If the issue continues, give it a little more time, as some renewals can take a while to fully update.

If everything still shows as expired after that, it’s best to contact Minecraft Support or Microsoft Support so they can verify your payment and activate the Realm manually if needed:

Do the following to confirm the Realm renewal and fix the expired status:

    1. Verify that the subscription payment actually completed and is not past due:
      • Go to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the Realm purchase.
      • Check the Minecraft Realms subscription status:
        • If it shows past due, select Pay now and complete payment with a valid card.
        • If your card has expired or changed, update or add a new payment method, then select Next to finish the payment.
    2. If the subscription shows as active but the Realm still appears expired in Minecraft:
      • Sign out of the Minecraft account on the device and sign back in with the same Microsoft account that owns the Realm.
      • If the issue persists, wait a short period in case the renewal status is still propagating, then check again.
    3. If the Realm still shows as expired after confirming the subscription is active and paid, contact Microsoft or Minecraft support so they can check the subscription and Realm status on the account, as account- and billing-level tools are required to correct it.

    Note:

    • If the subscription payment is past due, gift cards, subscription cards, or Microsoft account balance cannot be used to pay the overdue amount; a valid card or online payment method is required.
