I just got a new iphone. My hotmail account has transferred but not all of the folders have the content that I can access from my MacBook Pro.

To narrow this down quickly, are you accessing your Hotmail account on the new iPhone using the built‑in Mail app (Apple Mail) or the Microsoft Outlook app?

I have the Microsoft Outlook app. I think I did not give the phone enough time to download all my emails. As of last night, old email folders have begun filling in with the emails I can access on my laptop.
