I would like to remove the Out-Of-Office on the autogenerated message, keeping just the status eg, busy or do not disturb.

    Hi Rlee,

To double check, can you please tell me your end goal.

Would you like to enable OOO but it will not show along with busy or dnd status? If yes, then as per checking its not possible, once OOO is enabled, it will show the banner across calendar for recipient visibility.

It can only be removed if you completely turned off OOO

The Out-of-Office text shown with presence (for example in Lync or Skype for Business) comes directly from the Automatic Replies (Out of Office) message configured in Outlook and is synchronized as the personal note. It cannot be removed or customized separately from the Out-of-Office feature: if automatic replies are enabled in Outlook, the Out-of-Office note will be displayed along with the presence; if automatic replies are turned off, the note disappears and only the standard presence (Busy, Do Not Disturb, etc.) remains.

To remove the Out-of-Office header/message from what others see, the only supported option is to turn off Automatic Replies in Outlook:

    1. In Outlook, select File.
    2. Choose Automatic Replies.
    3. Select Turn off.
    4. Allow up to about 30 minutes for the Out-of-Office note to disappear from presence displays in Lync/Skype for Business.

There is no supported way to keep Automatic Replies active while hiding or stripping the Out-of-Office text from the presence card; the note and the status are linked by design.
