I have just bought a new Lenovo laptop. I have created an windows account with a new email. Ever since creating the account, i have been getting weird error messages when i try to login. (One of them is attached below.)

I want to buy office 365 personal to start using excel, word and powerpoint. Fo subscribe i need to login online, which i am unable to do. The only way i can sign in to my account is by accessing it through the account settings page. It shouldn't be this hard right?

When i try to subscribe to office 365. I have chosen IDEAL as the payment service. The payment goes trough, but then i het another weird error message.

After getting really annoyed by not being able to speak to anyone from microsoft, do any of you know the answer? I am still unable to het office 365 and keep struggling with loggin in.

    Hi,

Everything is revolving around the Microsoft account issue. Do you have Avast Antivirus or Mcafee came with new device?

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

The sign-in and purchase failures are consistent with known issues where the Office 365 purchase flow or Microsoft account sign-in is blocked or returns a service error.

Use these steps to fix the purchase/sign‑in problem and complete the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription:

    1. Check browser security and privacy settings
      1. Open the browser used for the purchase (for example, Internet Explorer/Edge).
      2. Go to Internet options (or equivalent settings).
      3. On the Security tab, ensure Enable Protected Mode is turned on for both Internet and Local intranet zones. Select each zone and verify the setting.
      4. On the Privacy tab, make sure cookies are not disabled.
        • Use Medium for the Internet zone, or
        • Use Advanced and allow first‑party and third‑party cookies for Microsoft sites.
    2. Fix repeated sign‑in prompts or “issue was found” during purchase If sign‑in still fails or the purchase page keeps asking to sign in again:
      1. Edit the company profile (for a personal account, this is the billing profile) and make sure the following fields contain valid information: address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, phone.
      2. Edit the user ID profile (Microsoft account profile) and confirm the same information is correct and matches the country/region that will be used for billing.
      3. Sign out of all Microsoft sites and apps.
      4. Close the browser completely, reopen it, and sign in again.
    3. Verify Microsoft account sign‑in
      • If there are still sign‑in issues to the Microsoft account itself, use the Sign‑in Helper tool to diagnose and fix Microsoft account sign‑in problems.
      • If a specific error such as Error 400 appears, follow the dedicated guidance for that error.
    4. Retry the Microsoft 365 purchase
      1. After completing the steps above, go back to the Microsoft 365 purchase page.
      2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account verified in step 3.
      3. Start the purchase again and choose the payment method (IDEAL or another available method) and complete checkout.
      4. If the same service error appears again after payment, wait a short time and retry; if it persists, contact support via the Microsoft Community or customer support options referenced in the documentation.
    5. Confirm subscription and install Office apps
      • Once the purchase succeeds, go to the Subscriptions page for the Microsoft account and confirm that Microsoft 365 Personal is listed and active.
      • From there, use the Install apps option to download and install the desktop Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) on the new laptop.

If the account still cannot be used to sign in or complete the purchase after these steps, use the Microsoft account recovery and sign‑in support options referenced below to have the account checked and, if necessary, corrected by support.
