Service unavailable for activating product key for Office MAC 2024

I am trying to activate the product key for Microsoft Home and Office for MAC 2024. After entering the key I am taken to a screen that states "Service Unavailable. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.Please try again later." It has been like that for some days. How to I activate the license I have purchased please?

    That error usually indicates a problem with the Office licence.

    What is the exact version of Office you purchased, is it Office Home 2024, Office Standard 2024 or Office Pro Plus 2024 and where did you purchase the Office licence. was that from an online retailer.
