Outlook not working

My outlook email account has stopped working. I can not get email or send email from the outlook account. I am receiving email on my iphone and on the web browser. My internet is working so that is not the problem. I have contacted Shaw and we walked through a number of items and they have reassured me the problem does not exit with them. The indicated the problem is with Microsoft and the OUtlook account. - I need to fix this and I need your suggests on how to make this work.

    Hi!

    You may need to log in again to update server information from your email provider, as it is a third-party email.

    1. Open the new Outlook > Click File > Accounts > Account Information > Click Manage next to your account > Remove > Restart your computer.
    2. Add your account again when you start your computer.

    Some email providers require an application code instead of a password. If the problem persists, try generating an application code and using it in place of your password.
