It should require nothing more than selecting Word> Activate from the main menu & following the on-screen prompts. If something is preventing you from doing so please provide a complete & accurate description of what happens when you attempt to do so. Include screenshots of any error messages or notifications as well as indicating the current version number of macOS you're using.
