I have over 100 surface laptops I need to check the warranty end date on for business use. How do I go about contacting Microsoft directly via a support ticket for this.

Thanks

    Use Surface Support Portal overview

    Check warranty status in bulk

    Upload/manage devices

    Create support tickets

    Track all cases centrally

For a business environment with 100+ Surface laptops, use the commercial Surface support channels and portals rather than individual consumer flows.

    1. Review and use the Surface Support Portal (recommended for bulk warranty lookups)
      • The Surface Support Portal is designed for commercial and education customers to look up current warranty and protection plans, create service requests, and track repairs at scale.
      • It is accessed through the Microsoft 365 admin experience. If the organization has a Microsoft 365 tenant, an admin can:
        • Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and then into the Surface Support Portal to view device warranty and protection plans.
      • If it is the first time using it, follow the onboarding guidance in “Streamline access to Surface Support Portal” from the Surface Support Portal documentation.
    2. Use Surface Management Portal (if managing via Intune)
      • If the organization uses Intune, the Surface Management Portal provides a centralized solution to manage and monitor Surface devices at scale and is integrated into Intune.
      • This can help correlate enrolled Surface devices with their support and lifecycle status.
    3. Open a support request with Surface Support for Business
      • If direct assistance from Microsoft is needed (for example, help with bulk warranty verification or issues with the portals), use the business support route:
        • Follow “Contact Surface Support for Business and Education customers” to open a support request.
      • Before contacting support, Microsoft recommends:
        • Reviewing the Top Support Solutions for Surface devices.
        • Running the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit for Business if troubleshooting is needed.
    4. Legacy/alternative support options
      • If the organization has a Premier or Unified Support contract, use Services Hub to create and manage support requests.
      • If still unable to use the modern portals, the legacy Support for Business case creation tool remains available but is being phased out in favor of the Surface Support Portal and Surface Management Portal.

These options allow creating formal support tickets and also provide self-service tools to look up warranty end dates for many Surface devices in one place.
