Yes, if you already have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can easily download and install Word and other Office apps on your new Windows laptop.

Please go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in using the Microsoft account that is linked to your subscription. Once signed in, locate Microsoft Office under your services and click Install. This will download the Office installer to your device.

After the download is complete, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

Once installed, open any Office app such as Word or Excel, then sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the subscription. This will automatically activate Microsoft 365 on your new laptop.

To get Microsoft 365 Word on a new Windows laptop, install the Microsoft 365 apps that include Word.

1. On the new laptop, open a browser and go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the Microsoft 365 subscription.
3. On the Apps page, select Install apps (or Install and more → Install Microsoft 365 apps depending on what is shown).

Once activated, Word is ready to use on the new laptop.
