Hi guys,

I'm brand new to outlook (wow it's not an easy system to use is it?) and each time I add a calendar event using the outlook IOS app my location comes up around 14,000 kms away from my actual location. I've looked at the desktop app settings, and the time zone is set correctly for my region. I cannot seem to find anything that allows me to amend my actual location. Please help, this is pretty frustrating

    Hi Scott Perry

I’m sorry for the frustration this has caused, especially when your time zone is already set correctly.

Please check the location permission for Outlook on your iPhone:

    • Open iPhone Settings.
    • Select Privacy & Security > Location Services.
    • Make sure Location Services is turned on.
    • Select Outlook, choose While Using the App, and enable Precise Location if available.
    • Reopen Outlook and create a test calendar event. In the Location field, enter and select the correct address.

Outlook mobile uses location services to suggest nearby places, while the calendar time-zone setting only controls event times.

If the issue persists, please update Outlook and let me know if you have any additional information or updates. Thank you!
