    Hi,

Where exactly do you see the error message? Is it when you open the Office apps?

Are you signed in to the same Microsoft account in your Office apps that was used to purchase or activate the license?

Please open Word, then go to File > Account.

    • Does the signed-in Microsoft account match the one that owns the subscription or license?

    Please also go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Can you confirm if your license or subscription appears there and is listed as active?

If the subscription was renewed but Office still shows expired, use this order:

    1. Check the renewal status online at the Services & subscriptions page and confirm the renewed Microsoft 365 Personal subscription shows the correct next renewal or expiration date.
    2. If the subscription is active there, close all open Microsoft 365 apps.
    3. Reopen an app such as Word and sign in again with the same Microsoft account used for the subscription.
    4. If the app shows Account Notice or still behaves as expired, check the Payment options page and update the payment method if it shows an error.
    5. If the renewal was from a retail box or card, the subscription does not start until the product key is entered. In that case, enter the key or follow the link from the receipt email.
    6. If the expiration date shown online is still wrong after renewal, contact Microsoft Support.

    What usually causes this:

    • The subscription was renewed after it had already reached the warning or expired state, and the apps need to be closed and reopened.
    • The app is signed in with a different Microsoft account than the one that owns the subscription.
    • There is a payment problem causing the subscription to be suspended.
    • A retail product key was purchased but not yet redeemed.
