My main account got hacked please help me get it back microsoft

My personal Microsoft account ([Moderator's note: PII removed]@gmail.com) appears to have been compromised.

On Sunday, 23 August 2026 at 10:33 AM IST, I received an official Microsoft account-security email saying that my primary alias had been changed from my original Gmail address to:

[Moderator's note: PII removed]@alarumadec.com

I have never used or recognized this email address or the alarumadec.com domain.

I now cannot access my account. When I try to sign in, Microsoft says my password is incorrect and offers to send a verification code to the unfamiliar @alarumadec.com address.

My Xbox/Minecraft access was also connected to this Microsoft account, so I have lost access to those services as well.

I have already run a full Microsoft Defender scan on my Windows 11 PC, and it found no threats.

I have the original Microsoft security email showing the unauthorized alias change and can provide legitimate proof of ownership, such as Minecraft/Microsoft purchase information, if required.

I am contacting Microsoft Questions from an alternate Microsoft account because I cannot access the affected account.

What is the correct recovery process when the attacker has changed the primary alias and the verification method now points to an unfamiliar email address?
