Based on your description, kindly try these steps:
Issue 1: OneDrive web storage is correct, but OneDrive client still shows large usage and keeps syncing
1> Verify the Folder Is Gone from Both Locations
Check:
- OneDrive Web > Confirm folder is deleted
- Local OneDrive folder (e.g.,
C:\Users\<username>\OneDrive) > Confirm folder is not still present
2> Check OneDrive Sync Status
Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray.
Look for:, "Processing changes", "Sync pending", Any sync issues
3> Reset OneDrive
Press Win + R > run: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset
Wait 2-3 minutes.
If OneDrive does not restart automatically:
Press Win + R > run : %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe
4> Re-link the Account
Click OneDrive icon > Help & Settings (gear icon) > Settings > Account > Unlink this PC > Sign in again
This forces OneDrive to rebuild the sync relationship.
5> Check Storage from OneDrive Settings
Click OneDrive icon > Help & Settings (gear icon) > Settings > Account > Choose folders
Verify the removed folders are no longer selected.
Issue 2: Unable to share Excel or PowerPoint files from desktop apps symptom
