My laptop no longer syncs to my cloud storage

I save documents to my cloud storage from my main computer. Previously this could be downloaded via my laptop which automatically synchronised with the updated files.

Now I don't seem to be able to access recently saved files or documents at all.

They do not appear on the menu drop down for each file or section.

If you're using OneDrive, first check whether the laptop is still signed in to the same Microsoft account and that OneDrive is running. Look for the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar. You can also open OneDrive on the web and check if the missing files are there. If they are, the issue is likely with syncing on the laptop rather than the files themselves.

If OneDrive shows an error or says it's paused, resume syncing and give it a few minutes to update. Also check that the laptop has enough storage space.

    Hi Val Carter,

To help identify the cause, could you please check the following:

    1. Sign in to OneDrive on the web using the same Microsoft account and confirm whether the recently saved files are visible there.
    2. On the laptop, select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area and check whether OneDrive shows Up to date, Paused, or any error message.
    3. Verify that the laptop is signed in to the same Microsoft account used on your main computer.
    4. Go to OneDrive Settings > Account > Choose folders and make sure the folders containing the missing files are selected for synchronization.
    5. Try restarting OneDrive. If the issue persists, you can unlink and reconnect your OneDrive account on the laptop to re-establish synchronization.

    Please let us know:

    • Which version of Windows you are using.
    • Whether the files appear in OneDrive on the web.
    • Any error messages or status shown by OneDrive.

With this information, we can provide more targeted troubleshooting steps.
